Letters to the Ed
Dear Ed,
This is the letter sent by V.W.Bro. Bennie Rossen:
19th November 2002
Dear W.M. and Brethren,
Lodge of Tranquillity No.42
U.G.L. of NSW & A.C.T.
Apologies for the lateness of this letter. Things in general have not been too good in the health department lately.
I take this opportunity in acknowledging the gift of a Lodge Medal denoting my Sixty years in the abovementioned Lodge and as a Freemason, together with a Certificate from the U.G.L. as well as a congratulatory note from the M.W. Grandmaster.
I am still unable to attend my Lodge and consequently was ever so delighted to receive these gifts by those Brethren depicted in the enclosed photo.
I eagerly look forward to resuming my Masonic duties as soon as my health improves - as yet driving is not permitted.
I look back over the past sixty years - enjoying the company of my Masonic Bretheren of all ages, religions and rank - taking part in various Degrees and supporting the Lodge in ritual ceremonies, visiting and many other activities too numerous to mention.
I trust you will accept my hearty good wishes for good health to yourself and Brethren. May the G.A.T.O.U. bestow upon one and all a life of happiness and good health.
Yours fraternally,
Bennie Rossen
V.W.Bro. Bennie Rossen P.D.G.D.C.
HAPPY HAVE WE MET.
HAPPY HAVE WE BEEN.
HAPPY DO WE PART
HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN.
TO OUR NEXT HAPPY MEETING.
SO MOTE IT BE.
